Knitting has been undergoing something of a renaissance in the past few years, although for some of us it never really went away!
Each of my patterns features a list of materials needed to complete your project as well as detailed instructions. Patterns are supplied as pdf files, which are downloaded directly from www.ravelry.com. After completing checkout, you will receive an email with your pattern.
I have kept photos to a minimum on the pdf files - this saves on printer ink and printing time.

Infinity Bag
If you are at all scientific or mathematical, this is the bag for you! The crossed handles form the infinity symbol and will have everyone wondering how you made such an unusual bag.
It is worked from the base upwards on two needles, using chunky weight wool on 6mm needles. After sewing the side seam, the finished bag is felted in the washing machine to produce a sturdy, attractive fabric. For a two-colour bag you will need 200gr yarn in the main colour and 100gr in the contrast colour. A solid-colour bag will use 300gr yarn.
This design is worked entirely in garter stitch. You will need to know how to cast on, knit, increase, and cast off.
This pattern costs GB£2.00. To purchase, please click on the following link.

Flamboyance!
A happy jamboree of a scarf, this model is knitted in DK weight yarn in two colours. The ruffle is worked in small pieces, then knitted into the main body of the scarf as you go along. The ends of each individual ruffle are joined together later to give the impression of one long, continuous ruffle. The pattern includes instructions and how-to photos for grafting the ruffles onto the scarf.
The main body of the scarf is worked with short-row shaping which makes the wedge-shaped areas between the ruffles.
Although this design is knitted entirely in garter stitch, it would be best suited to a knitter with some experience.
You will need 100gr of yarn for the scarf, and 100gr contrast for the ruffles.

Dainty Dish
If you like making pretty things for your home this is an ideal project. The bowl is worked on two needles, from the centre outwards, and after knitting it is felted in the washing machine. The shape is achieved by moulding the felted fabric inside a pie dish and allowing it to dry. Beads add a final flourish to this attractive, useful dish.

Sideways Cardigan
Specially designed with the fuller figure in mind, this design is ideal for self-striping yarns - the stripes run vertically which is always flattering. Short-row shaping nips the waist in at the sides, and a flared back hem emphasises the curvy shape of the garment. The three-quarter length sleeves are finished with a double cuff to match the edging around the body of the cardigan.
Although this pattern is not for the faint-hearted it's a rewarding knit and you will end up with a beautiful, wearable garment that you'll wear time and time again.
NB. The placing of the waist shaping means this design is probably best suited to a person of around 5' - 5'5" in height. The shaping will sit above the waistline of a taller person.
To fit bust sizes 42", 44" and 46".
Nape of neck to hem - 26"
Sleeve seam - 12"
You will need 12 x 50gr DK yarn for 46" size, 11 x 50gr for 44" and 10 x 50gr for 42". The purple/pink colourway was knitted in Sirdar Escape DK, and the green was knitted in King Cole Mirage.
This pattern costs GB£3.00. To purchase, please click on the following link.
