When animal fibres are subjected to heat, moisture and friction they mat together, forming a 'felted' fabric. This results in a beautiful, tactile fabric that makes a perfect material for bags. I work with a variety of wools in different weights, textures and colours.
Many of my bags are embellished with beads. I use glass, shell, metal and acrylic beads according to the effect I want to achieve. I also collect vintage costume jewellery which is often dismantled to use as a bag decoration.

Felted bags are priced from GB£45. Price includes UK postage and packing.
Mermaid Bags
The first time I made this design I used a range of colours which after felting seemed to melt into each other, creating a beautiful mottled sea-green fabric. There and then I decided that this would be a perfect bag for a sea-dwelling lady.
This model is hand-knitted with pure wool and mohair yarns. After felting, each bag is decorated with toning beads and lined. My method of selecting and mixing the yarn colours ensures that no two bags are ever the same, so every bag is truly unique.
Broad Bottomed Bags
It's not essential to have a broad bottom to own this bag - they work just as well with a small bottom! These dinky little handbags are just the right size to hold a few essentials. I create them in regular or random stripes as well as solid colours. The flap is decorated with toning beads or a vintage brooch, and inside is a luxury lining.
SunRay Flap Bag
A roomy shoulder bag which will hold all your daily requirements and lots more beside! The curved styling of the flap is emphasised by the stripes, and a selection of beads adds a touch of sparkle on the outside, whilst the inside features a toning fabric lining. A long plaited strap completes the design, which you can wear slung over one shoulder or diagonally across the body.
Sybil's Pussy-Bow Bag
Inspiration can strike at any time, and one evening whilst watching 'Fawlty Towers' I began to wonder what type of bag Sybil might choose for an evening out. She has a thing for fussy, frilly, pussy-bow blouses so I designed this cute little bag with a bow motif. It would be a perfect addition to that special evening outfit, and is roomy enough to hold lipstick, phone, cash, keys and even spare hosiery in case of a laddering disaster. (Ladies, I speak from experience.)
Forget-Ye-Knot Bag
Knots have been used as a decorative motif for many centuries, and it is said that if you tie a knot into something it will help you to remember. This bag comes ready-knotted, so whether you're the forgetful type or just like something a little different then this is the bag for you. The long shoulder strap also features knots, so there really is no excuse for forgetting anything ever again.
